Velvet the Eel visiting for Heritage Week

Thursday 12th–Sunday 22nd April 2012

See Velvet the Eel hanging at the Nelson Provincial Museum (12-22 April). Find out about New Zealand's endangered longfin eel and add to this travelling tapestry thats already over 70 metres long. Create applique friends for Velvet in school holiday programmes at the Museum ( 9-11am 19 & 20 April) or at Elma Turner library activity room (10.30 am - 12.30 pm 13 April), or make something at home to add to new panels in this nationwide project. Creations can be added to Nelson's panels at the Boardroom at the Nelson Provicial museum 11am-2pm 16-20 April,
