Join Irma for a 2 hour presentation on how to harvest, store and use a variety of local nuts: walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, macadamias. Learn about the importance of soaking your nuts and thus making them 'activated'. The soaking increases the nutritional value of the nuts and it breaks down problematic compounds. Demonstration of making your own nut milk (almondor hazelnut) and how to use nut flours for baking.
Irma Jager lives with her family on a self-sufficiency farm in the Motueka Valley. She has a passion for growing, preparing, preserving and eating (!) her home-grown foods. She is New Zealand’s only certified Primal Health Coach and has a wealth of practical knowledge about eating a healthy, whole-food diet.
