Herbs - growing, drying, teas

Friday 7th April 2017

Herbs have been used for thousands of years by humans, and other animals, to keep themselves safe, flavour food, extend life, alleviate pain, and many other purposes. Until the last two centuries they were the main source of medicine, and still are in many parts of the world. This workshop is about how you can grow, store, and use some favourite herbs in your own garden and kitchen, and touches on some of the medicinal as well as culinary benefits.

Your speaker: Lynda Hannah is a herbalist, naturopath, writer, and natural funeral facilitator who grows organic medicinal and culinary herbs on her small farm on the outskirts of Motueka.
