Parker Gallery presents 'Lifesaver'

Thursday 25th May-Thursday 15th June 2017

'Lifesaver' is a joint exhibition featuring Sally Reynolds & Maggy Johnston who present an honest and playful look at discarded materials in and around our local environment.

Using materials recovered during a 100-day project collecting beach plastic at Ruby Bay, Sally Reynolds presents her latest series of work including sculpture, assemblage and installation. Also working with contemporary sculpture, Maggy Johnston uses plastic bags, wine bottle tops and everything in between.

'Lifesaver' is underpinned by an important environmental message that these two artists present in a refreshingly fun and colourful way. The show opens on Thursday 25th May at 5.30pm with guest speaker, Nelson City Councillor, Matt Lawrey.
