Family History Month at Elma Turner Library Nelson

Turn up at the Elma Turner Library in Nelson to enrol in a Starting Genealogy class. Tuesday mornings or evenings, 1st and 8th August. Ask a real genealogist how they can help, at 10 - 12.30 on Monday 14th.
Will your grandchildren have to research your life, or do you intend to save them some time and effort by leaving them a few stories to read? Explore different ways of writing down those memories in this talk/workshop on Tuesday August 15th at 1.30. Session repeated on August 29th.
Listen and learn about the role of art and craft in passing on family traditions and whakapapa. 11.30 to 12.30 on August 22nd. Ponder on the art and craft by local crafters in our display cabinets.
Take a lesson on Ancestry and learn how else the library can help your research. 9.30 Tuesday 22nd August.
