Thinking Brunch 2: Being a Woman in the Age of Trump

Sunday 22nd October 2017

Last year, Donald Trump won the most powerful office in the world and has been busy dismantling the rights of women ever since.

His appointment launched an outpouring of grief and anger, yet has also galvanised activists across the globe, with more women signing up for public office, and a worldwide protest five million strong. Journalist and editor Rebekah White, author and activist Emily Writes, and writers Laura Irish and Michelanne Forster discuss, with Nelson Museum CEO Lucinda Blackley-Jimson keeping order.

Come early to order coffee - when the talking begins the machine is turned off!

Continue the conversation at 10am on both Tuesdays after the weekend sessions, with discussion groups at Nelson’s Elma Turner Library.

Duration: 60 minutes, no interval
