The Top of the South Film Festival celebrates 16 of the best of locally produced films (Nelson/Tasman/Marlborough) with an exciting evening of red carpet arrivals, food and drink followed by an opportunity for local filmmakers to showcase their short films on the big screen. Get to the Suter Theatre's website soon in order to secure your tickets. Tickets are selling fast! There are TWO screenings of the Film Festival Shorts on Saturday, October 28 - 6 PM and 8:30 PM. Come early and walk the Red Carpet before each screening and enjoy food from our sponsor New World and drink at the Suter's cash bar. Then enjoy the full spectrum of film genre's: comedy, drama, horror, experimental, thriller, noir and music video. MC'd by Nelson Councillor Matt Lawrey, with special guest Mayor Richard Kempthorne. All proceeds are donated to the TOTS Film Production Society which provides financial support to its members pursuing the art of filmmaking in our region.
