Your guide to events in Nelson, New Zealand
Sunday 21st January 2018
After a break of 3 years, we are very happy to announce our decision to hold another Festival in 2018. This popular event has attracted thousands of visitors over the past 35 years, featuring local, national and international musicians and artists.
The Festival takes place in the heart of Riverside Community, New Zealand's oldest intentional community. It was founded in 1941 on the principals of developing peaceful and cooperative ways of living, and continues to be an example of how people can live in peace when sharing resources and pooling their skills. If you are interested in more information on Riverside, we invite you to read the About Us section and to cruise through our website.
Apart from providing for a meaningful historic setting, Riverside's 2018 Music Festival will also entice you with excellent music, dance, theatre, a dynamic and an interesting kids zone - including our amazing water slide. Fabulous food, with many ingredients sourced directly from our organic gardens and refreshing drinks, will keep your energy levels up.
Proudly supported by Riverside Community enterprises, a crowd of enthusiastic creative volunteers and the Tasman District Council!
