Your guide to events in Nelson, New Zealand
Thursday 3rd May 2018
This workshop will focus on the space between actors.
How can we create, manipulate and morph relationships on stage? How can we be completely comfortable and vulnerable with our scene partners?
Using trust exercises, physical theatre methods, script exercises and communicative techniques, workshop attendees will come away with a skill set aimed at utilising the magic between actors.
Georgie Sivier is a graduate of the New Zealand College of Performing Arts and is now Artistic Director of The PlaySpace Theatre Company. A resident tutor for The Big Little Theatre Company, Georgie's students have recently been awarded the Trinity Guildhall World Exhibition award for the second year running. As a performer, Georgie recently was awarded the 'Outstanding Achievement' at the Christchurch Comedy Awards, 'Best Show' at the Go Media Comedy Carnival, 'Best out of Town Show' Nelson Fringe, but she doesn't like to brag about it.
