Motueka Library: Heritage Talk With Eileen Stewart

Come to Motueka Library and hear local historian Eileen Stewart talk about Captain Frederick Moore, the first non-Maori farmer in Motueka.

The talk will refer to the first European settlement in Motueka, Captain Frederick Moore's emigration to New Zealand in 1839 and his relationship with local Maori.

Eileen is a knowledgeable and humorous speaker and is very enthusiastic about the local history of Motueka and surrounds.

Light refreshments available.
