Anatoly Zelinsky (viola) and Louisa Pilkington (mezzo soprano) will perform at NCMA as part of our lunchtime concert series.

The programme features music by J.S. Bach, A. Zelinsky and Petr Eben.

As a soloist Anatoly has performed with different orchestras the works of Bach, Telemann, Mozart, Bruch, Paganini, Berlioz, Stamitz, Bartok, Hindemith, Martinu and more and has been the first performer of many new works for viola as well. He has participated in more than 50 CDs recordings with Naxos, EMI, Simax etc.

Louisa Pilkington is a mezzo soprano who is a regular soloist and chorister with CBS Music in Christchurch. With a particular love for sacred music, she includes Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s St John Passion and B Minor Mass, Mozart’s C Minor Mass and Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater in her repertoire. Within the secular repertoire, the ‘Loveless Songs’ of Peter Eben are a particular favourite.

Louisa is a past member of the Nelson Civic Choir and the Nelson Combined Choirs.
