A Buddhist perspective on working with the death of loved ones
with Keith Rowan
6.45 - 8.15 pm Wednesday 7th. November
Any donations to support the Buddhist Centre are appreciated.
Death is a subject most of us habitually ignore. That is a little bit strange since it is certain and can come at any time. They say you can avoid everything but death and taxes. We probably spend more time thinking about our taxes. As a result, death comes as a shock.
Grief, in its many forms, is the process of dealing with that shock.
In this talk Keith will explore death and grieving using ideas and practices from the Buddhist perspective. Buddhism, despite some of the ways it may appear, is in fact very practical and down to earth. This talk could be useful for anyone regardless of their beliefs. It will be an open enquiry into the realities, based on reason, free from dogma.
