Join Christine and Jamila on Saturday, November the 10th to learn all about the wonderful world of fermentation. We find fermentation fascinating. It’s fun to make your own fermented vegetables and drinks at home and we would love to share this with you.
You will learn:
• What fermentation is
• The history of fermentation / how humans have interacted with microbes for thousands of years
• Why we ferment & the amazing health benefits of fermented food and drinks
• How to make your own sauerkraut in a hands-on demo (after the class, you´ll be fully confident to make your first batch at home)
• How to make fizzy water kefir drinks
What to bring:
pen, paper, a big jar e.g. a 1 or 2-liter sized mason jar for your sauerkraut and a small jar for your water kefir grains.
We will provide the recipes, the ingredients to make sauerkraut and the water kefir grains starter culture. You will also get to try and taste some of our fermented food.
You will get to take home some sauerkraut that we will make on the day and some water kefir grains, so you can make your own probiotic drinks at home.
Limited space is available. Please book your space early to avoid disappointment.
