Your guide to events in Nelson, New Zealand
Friday 21st December 2018
After two magical, soulful nights of Meadow Dancing in recent months, we know we are onto something good and by popular request we’re doing it again. Yes! As the years longest day gives way to night, celebrate the abundance of the natural world with your bare and dancing feet. See you in the Fairfield House Meadow, a stunning and peaceful sanctuary.
Every “body” is welcome, most especially if this is new for you. There are no steps to learn or right or wrong ways to do things.
As the sun goes down we’ll surrender our feet to the beat. You can expect a big sound system playing stunning tunes and some gentle guidance to ease you into your own rhythm and dance.
The evening will begin with a guided invitation to help ease you into connection with the Solstice, your moving body and the earth under your feet. A DJ set journeying through many sounds and genres, will then seduce you to move.
(If it’s easy, please bring a thermos with a warm drink. Spare mugs and hot drinks will be provided for those without. Also bring layers, including a jacket for when you’re cooling down).
