Air Cadets Open Day

Sunday 3rd-Tuesday 5th March 2019

The New Zealand Cadet Forces is a voluntary military style training organisation for New Zealand youth. Run in a partnership between the New Zealand Defence Force and locally appointed community organizations. The Air Training Corps (ATC) is the branch with the Royal New Zealand Air Force as it's parent service.

The Nelson unit is holding an Open Day so that the wider community can see what we do, and teenagers between 13 and 15 (or in Year 9 or 10 at school) can experience the ATC and consider joining. All activities occur outside school time.

If you or someone you know is 13 - 15 and interested in the military, aviation, adventure, the outdoors, ceremonial, radios or leadership then this is for you. Cadets gain increased self-confidence, an extensive skill set and lifelong friends.
