Tina Makereti in Conversation with Liz Price

Tina Makereti is the author of the short story collection 'Once Upon a Time in Aotearoa', which was the winner of the Fiction award at Ngā Kupu Ora.
Her debut novel Where the Rēkohu Bone Sings, won the fiction award at the 2014 Ngā Kupu Ora Aotearoa Māori Book Awards, and was longlisted for the Dublin Literary Award 2016.

Come and hear Tina in conversation with Liz Price, where they will be discussing her latest novel: 'The Imaginary Lives of James Pōneke', long-listed for this year’s Acorn Foundation Fiction Prize in the Ockham New Zealand Book Awards.
The Imaginary Lives of James Pōneke is the tale of an orphaned son of a Māori chief; an ardent student of English; a wide-eyed survivor; a living exhibit; and a young man exploring the savage streets of Victorian London.
