In 2009 Lindsay completed a Masters in Creative Writing at Victoria University. His poetry has appeared in many New Zealand and international publications and online literary journals. Headwinds, his first book of poetry, was published in 2014. In 2018 he published two books, Badly Wolf, an adult’s romp where in ten episodes he engages with familiar characters from children’s fiction, and Furthersouth, poems influenced by the human history of the Auckland Islands.
“[Lindsay’s poems] are full of warmth and wryness and harsh morning light. Lindsay Pope is the scratchy cardigan of New Zealand poetry.” Ashleigh Young.
Lindsay will also be the guest at Motueka Live Poets on 20 March and Golden Bay Live Poets on 21 March.
