Improvised Movement Workshop

Saturday 8th June 2019

Come along for a day of improvised movement!

Anne Bogart's Viewpoints are a comprehensive structure for understanding the way our bodies interact with time and space. The Viewpoints we look through in this system are Spatial Relationships, Kinaesthetic Response, Tempo, Duration, Architecture, Floor Pattern, Shape, Gesture and Repetition.

Using movement exercises, we will investigate The Viewpoints as an ensemble. This work often gives us a shared vocabulary for talking about and creating theatre and dance. It is a practical way of experiencing the different ways our bodies can relate to space and time. It is a powerful tool for connecting as an ensemble. It is a way to heighten the impact of the choices you make when creating work.

This workshop is recommended for people who are involved with theatre and dance, whether as a student, creator or teacher. This promises to be an uplifting day of movement and connection!
