Takaka Library: Basic Coding With Scratch

Monday 10th June-Monday 1st July 2019

Amanda Clarke, computer programmer for over 15 years, is using Scratch to introduce children to basic computer coding.

With Scratch, kids can programme their own interactive stories, games and animations. Scratch also helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically and work collaboratively - all essential skills for life in the 21st century.

Learn basic computer coding skills in four interactive sessions. Suitable for 9-11 year olds.

Booking essential. $20.

We can provide some computers, but let us know if you can bring your own laptop.
