Explore the Treasures of the Library

Thursday 13th June 2019

You are invited to explore the Treasures of the Research Room
The Nelson Public Libraries Research Room contains a multitude of treasures including various editions of ‘A history of the birds of New Zealand’ by Walter Buller. From the original 1872 publication to the newer 2012, it is fascinating to compare the prints in the different editions, particularly the colour and tone, or simply delight information, and the images which almost bring the birds back to life.
The public are invited to a show and tell where we will explore these items and a few of our other treasures on Thursday June 13th at 12pm.
