130 Old Cars in the Garage. A Nelson Institute & Friends of Nelson Library talk

Sunday 16th June 2019

Mike Wilson of Cartel Works is an industrial designer who, as a result of a few twists and turns, has ended up running Cartel Works, where they care for and restore vintage and classic cars here in Nelson, based at the World of Wearable Art and Classic Cars. Originally North Islanders, he and his wife, Lizi, have spent over half their lives in the South Island and have ended up in Nelson with no plans to move on.
At one point Mike planned to be an automotive designer but that dream never came to fruition. He is, however, working on plans to build sports cars from scratch here in Nelson.
