Your guide to events in Nelson, New Zealand
Thursday 3rd October 2019
Join us for a fun, hands-on robotic session for children aged 9-14.
This is a project-based workshop with a maker philosophy at its core; the idea is that you learn by making.
We will be using modules from various systems, whether Miro:bits and Makeblock mBots, and will build our machine with cardboard, string, whatever our mind will come to. We will then control their every move through programming!
The software uses graphic programming (similar to Scratch) and can control sensors and modules to have your fabulous creation take on the world!
You can purchase the micro:bit microcontroller board, (including 1 micro:bit pocket size microcontroller, 1 USB cable, 1 battery holder, start-up guide) to take home at the end of the workshop for $29.50 to continue learning at home; but this will need to be ordered before the workshop. Please note it does not include any other modules.
Please email Nathalie – email@example.com if you would like to order these.
Choose either the morning or afternoon session.
Cost: $20 per session.
Bookings are essential. Please contact Takaka Library to book your spot.
Please bring a drink bottle and food.
