Wāhine

Sunday 9th-Sunday 16th February 2020

Immerse yourself in the stories of four Maori women.

Showcasing personal stories from Maori women who live in the Nelson region of New Zealand, Wāhine combines candid interviews, soundscapes and portrait photography to present a series of unique meditations on being a woman in Maori culture.

OPENING EVENING for the Wāhine Exhibition at the Old St Peters Church in Founders Park. This event is open for you to meet the four women featured in the exhibition, as well as the artist Loren Pasquier. All welcome.
The opening ceremony will take place at 6:30 pm and will be led by the four featured women.

From Monday 10th until Sunday 16th of February, the exhibition will be open in the Old St Peters Church from 10am - 4.30pm everyday.
The artist will be present.

Please note: The exhibition will also be part of Nelson's KAI Festival on the 6th of February. It will be displayed in the Kākaati building (Wharenui). Come and experience it in this sacred space...
