Call to artists - Matariki inspired exhibition

Tuesday 28th April-Friday 5th June 2020

Elma Turner Library are hosting an exhibition to celebrate Matariki for and by the community and invite you to be part of this. Run in partnership with Arts Council Nelson, we invite you to have fun, get creative and celebrate this special time of year. This is your opportunity to showcase your Matariki-inspired artwork on the Elma Turner Library’s red wall in late June 2020. There are no entry fees, no prizes, simply the opportunity to be part of a public celebratory exhibition.

Matariki is a time of remembrance, a time for new beginnings, and a time to plan for the year ahead. What does Matariki mean to you? We would love to see your ideas and representations! Works can be in any medium and all we need is a digital image of your creation which we shall print and display. Artists may collect the prints we produce after the showcase.
