Your guide to events in Nelson, New Zealand
Friday 11th-Monday 28th September 2020
Century-old Tapawera garden, owned by Sandy and Barry Rogan, welcomes families and friends for picnics during World Alzheimers Awareness Month (September). These will run each weekend (Friday to Monday) from mid to end September to raise awareness of Alzheimers and other Dementias. There is a small entrance Koha which the Rogans have pledged, to Alzheimers Nelson towards the work they do in the Nelson Tasman region for people living with dementia, their care givers and families. Bring your families, friends, cameras and cash (only) and come and enjoy a lovely day in these stunning gardens maintained by the Rogans. There will be crafts, and new and pre-loved items on sale as well, with all proceeds going towards the support, advocacy and dementia education services provided by Alzheimers Nelson.
