Te Huinga Whetū Regional Kapa Haka Competitions

Friday 13th November 2020

Te Huinga Whetū is our regions premier kapa haka festival for primary school aged tamariki.

Our day kicks off with our non-competitive festival for kura who want to showcase their kapa haka to the community.

After the lunch break we have a great line up of kapa haka taking the stage including our top three kapa haka from 2018 - Tamariki Toa o Te Pouahi, Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Tuia te Matangi, and Te Pītau Whakarei. They will battle it out with the other competitive kapa haka to gain a spot at next years Te Mana Kuratahi.

We are also excited to announce that this years event will include a regional secondary schools competition, with kura from Nelson and Marlborough competing for top honours this year.

Get your tickets today, early bird tickets are on sale until 8:59am on October 13th.
