Your guide to events in Nelson, New Zealand
Saturday 27th-Sunday 28th March 2021
Treat yourself to 2 days of creative, spontaneous and addictive monoprinting magic! Monoprinting is a form of printmaking that has lines or images that can only be made once, unlike most printmaking, which allows for multiple originals. There are many different techniques of mono-printing, and this workshop will focus on low-tech options using Gelli Plates, plus other ‘plate’ materials all using hand printing (no press needed).
Monoprinting is a great way to create finished prints, or works on paper that mix print and paint, trial ideas for paintings and create interesting textures and patterns for collage work. As part of the workshop fee you get a 5 x 7 inch Gelli plate to use and take home to continue your printmaking journey.
WORKSHOP FEE INCLUDES:
Minimum of 10 hours of professional tuition
Healthy regional foods – 2 morning and 2 afternoon teas, 2 lunches and 1 dinner with selected drinks
A 5 x 7 inch Gelli plate to take home
All art equipment ie: table/easel/chair/water containers/scrap paper/rags etc
