When their father is suddenly taken away by police on Christmas Eve the Waterbury children, Roberta, Phyllis and Peter, have to relocate to Yorkshire with their mother, downsizing to a cottage beside a railway track and finding new friends and adventures in the town of Oakworth.
In conjunction with this Wakefield screening only, Higgins Heritage Park will have their exhibition sheds open throughout the day til 3pm. Bring a group out for an exploration of the exhibits then a picnic at Faulkner Bush Reserve before this beautiful steam era film. Join us for giant board games, enjoy the park and watch the regions’ glorious summer sunsets. Wrap up warm and please pocket a torch to light your way home.
