International Jampot NZ 2020

Saturday 2nd January-Wednesday 3rd February 2021

This event is a get together for motorbike lovers with the screening of the International Jampot film documentary of the 2020 Rally in NZ, talks with organiser Murray McLean (www.jampot.co.nz), Q&A with Peter Blasdale (awarded director, producer, editor), Barry Sangster (sound/images), John Herd and Geert Hermsen (music).
The documentary captures the second Classic AJS and Matchless Motorcycle Rally throughout the NZ South Island during the 2020 summer. A great breadth of 30 Kiwi characters and 17 International AJS / Matchless enthusiasts ride through exquisite scenery reaching the Burt Munroe Challenge, and back to the Top of the South just before lockdown; all riding during over 2000 km on classic vintage motorcycles throughout the ups and downs of a joyful adventure.
The Documentary successfully premiered in Golden Bay in May 2020, screened at the Toronto Motorbike Film Festival, Franklin Festival. The All Shorts Film Festival and the Top of the South Film Festival 2020 awarded the short version and Peter Blasdale received the Aaron Falvey Filmmaker of the Year Award 2020. A rare opportunity to combine this event with the Classic Motorbike and welcome 2021 in good company!
