Kārena is a Pākeha New Zealander with Cornish, Irish and Scottish ancestry. She offers songs to direct our focus on awakening collective humanity. Kārena uses guitar, voice, mandolin and loops to create heart charged soundscapes
that draw deep from the
well of our collective spirit.

MATIU TE HUKI
Singer and live looping artist of soul-stirring roots music, Matiu will be bringing to Solscape his powerful connecting presence and positively inspiring, unifying lyrical messages. Matiu’s music has a strong Maori flavour, using haka, chants and traditional Maori instruments, backed by grabbing grooves, deep, beautifully crafted bass lines, funky rhythms and magical melodies that will stay with you well after the show ends, all held up by a pillar of Pacific passion and top class technical precision.
