Your guide to events in Nelson, New Zealand
Sunday 7th March 2021
Isabella (Izzy) Miller Bell Aka Ma Bell & Madame Tragédie is a multi-faceted performance artist with a passion for music and the stage, heralded by (NZMM July 2003) to be one of NZ’s most musical Scottish imports.
From Europe to Australia and onto New Zealand this independent musical luminary has performed on various platforms, from the streets, schools, and prisons to National, and International festivals and major events. Ma Bell makes a return to Nelson with her latest body of work, a 12 – track concept album of original composition, classic blues, alt country and Celtic soul entitled Madame Tragédie.
With a gutsy yet tender sensitive voice that soothes the soul, you will not want to miss the opportunity to hear this sassy Glaswegian blues siren who just happens to be one of the country’s finest blues singers. Ma Bell is the real deal, a rare gem. She will be accompanied by two of the South’s finest Jazz blues musicians, John Bevin on piano & vocals and Mike Kime on Upright Bass plus special Guests.
