Ngā Manu - taonga tuku iho | Birds treasures handed down

Thursday 1st-Friday 30th April 2021

A school event promoting the importance of our birds as unique treasures that have been handed down. Like many treasures some are increasing in number through good stewardship, kaitiakitanga, some are diminishing in number, and some may be lost forever.

Students can identify and celebrate those that are increasing, work to help grow the numbers of those that are diminishing, learn from those that are lost through extinction and how Manu are so significant to Te Ao Māori.
