DINOSAURS DESCEND ON THE MUSEUM…but not as you know them!
Horns, spikes, quills and feathers. The secret is in the skin!
The Nelson Provincial Museum is excited to bring Dinosaur rEvolution: Secrets of Survival to the region, an exhibition that gives you a glimpse into the true, bizarre and complex nature of the evolution of the Dinosauria.
Exceptionally well preserved fossils found in China with skin, feathers and quills have revealed secrets that birds were the last branch in the dinosaur family tree, forever changing our image of these primeval giants.
Skeletons, skulls, and fossil casts will transport you to a time when these amazing creatures ruled the world. Discover whether T. Rex really did have brown scales and hear the large animatronic dinosaurs roar! They can sense you coming, but don’t worry…they don’t bite.
Dinosaur rEvolution: Secrets of Survival is an exhibition for families and dinosaur enthusiasts alike.
The exhibition is open to the public from 15 October 2021 - 27 March 2021.
