Your guide to events in Nelson, New Zealand
Thursday 7th-Sunday 10th April 2022
As a round of the Enduro World Series this will draw the world's best mountain bikers to Nelson to claim points for the overall 2022 EWS title. As well as the EWS main event there are three other Enduro races that the general public can take part in:
EWS100: Race on the same day as EWS - 100% of the EWS course. No pre-qualification required.
EWS80: 80% of the full EWS course. Amateur racing on the EWS weekend. No pre-qualification required.
EWS Kids: participation races for children ages 2-15.
The EWS course will include up to eight stages raced on Nelson's finest mountain bike trails.
The Event Village will include an expo area, food and beverages, fun activities for kids, stage with MC and DJ, plus the opportunity to see professional mountain bike teams in action.
There is free transport to the Event Village from Nelson City. Spectators will receive a free Spectator Guide which will outline some of the best viewing areas for the racing. Selected race stages will have fan zones with music to watch the best part of the racing.
7-8 April will see the riders practice the course, with the racing commencing on 9 April. Prize giving will be at the completion of racing on 10 April.
