Let's celebrate the Māori New Year with a great community event on Sundial Square and activities along Queen Street.
At 4 PM come into the library to listen to Māori Legends and create beautiful stars to pop them onto the Magical Star Wall on one of the alleyways.
At 5 PM come to watch the epic fire show, Kapa Haka performance and listen to waiata on Sundial Square.
Enjoy a diverse choice of awesome kai from the food trucks, including hāngī.
We will also have basking, stilts and glow in the dark body art.
