Your guide to events in Nelson, New Zealand
Friday 23rd-Sunday 25th September 2022
A multi-day symposium hosted by Aotearoa Digital Arts (ADA) network, NMIT and Refinery ArtSpace with accompanying performances, exhibitions and events across Whakatū/Nelson and around the country.
The Indeterminate Infrastructures symposium will gather delegates to meet and engage across the expanded field of current digital media practice and how it interfaces with social and civic activity. The programme will include formal presentations and moderated panel discussions as well as networking opportunities, workshops, exhibitions, field excursions and other creative interventions across the Nelson urban landscape.
The symposium will attract national delegates to Whakatū/Nelson and invite local practitioners, researchers and students to engage in works and discussions throughout the event. Previous ADA symposia have attracted international audiences, especially from Australia and historically there have been remote contributions and presentations making use of digital technologies to create and present location specific works.
