HOPE by Anita Kagaya

Monday 23rd May-Saturday 18th June 2022

The constant portrayal on media of the breakdown of society through numerous global issues, including political mistrust, violence, racism and a global pandemic, have cast a dark shadow on humanity as a whole, and demanded that the whole world face questions of life and death, and the purpose of life itself. This project aspires to see exterior tragedy with a more inward positive light. It is a space that attempts to inspire the audience to recreate or re-experience their own narratives under new light and purposes.

The work yearns to reminisce the beauty of the past, and aspires to envision a favourable future. It welcomes the community to enter a totally new space and feel free to experience and feel whatever they may need to.
