Richmond Library: Author talk – Helen Staniland

Tuesday 21st June 2022

After the 2020 Level 4 Covid-19 Lockdown, Helen Staniland saw an opportunity. The South Island roads, normally busy with tourist campervans and tour buses, were empty. So, after packing up her van with everything she’d need for an extended adventure around the South Island, she set off on the trip of a lifetime ... then she wrote a book about her experiences.

Join us for an author talk with Helen Staniland about her book Te Wai Pounamu – The Glorious South of the South Island: Travelling in the time of Covid.

After Helen’s session, you are invited to join the Richmond Writing Group for an optional hour of discussion and fun writing exercises from 2.00pm-3.00pm.

Free. All welcome. Bookings not required.
