Your guide to events in Nelson, New Zealand
Saturday 11th June 2022
Bring your knitting needles, wool and pattern and come to the library for a great knitting session with other lovers of knitting.
The purpose of Worldwide Knit in Public Day is to show that knitting is a fun and enjoyable activity for all ages. For a long time, we have associated knitting with something our grandparents do. However, it is an activity that can be enjoyed by all, and that’s what this day is all about.
Worldwide Knit In Public Day is a great way to encourage people to try knitting, or to share your knitting skills with people who are still learning.
Spend the day in your warm and comfortable library, knitting, chatting, checking out our awesome knitting books and magazines, and enjoying a relaxed creative day.
Free.
