Averill is a PhD student at the University of Canterbury studying animal behaviour, particularly jumping spider attentional abilities and decision-making. She is also a science communicator at Nanogirl labs.
Averill will also present workshop sessions about jumping spiders at Cawthron INSPIRE on 2 September, suitable for students aged 8–13 years. See the attached programme for details of all 34 sessions (bookings via Eventbrite).
