Weave your own Mobius Workshop - Neck Cowl

Sunday 21st January 2024

Weave your own Mobius - Mini Cowl - Tutor Karuna Peralta

A small, lightweight neck warmer is a great beginners project and a lovely, colourful accessory.
Following a hands-on demonstration, you can select your yarns and start to set up a rigid heddle loom using the direct warping method. There will be a wide variety of colours, fibres and textures to choose from (including some New Zealand luxury yarns) as well as lots of help, tea, coffee, chocolate and friendly chatter.

After setting up your loom, you will be taught a few different techniques to weave a
semi-plain, striped, textured or colour block fabric using a relaxed and intuitive method of weaving.
You will also be shown some hand stitching and finishing techniques to turn your fabric into a mobius cowl.

No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness and an openness to learn and play.

Weaving materials cost is $20 per person, payable to the tutor at the workshop.

Hot drinks and snacks available throughout the day. Just bring your lunch, water bottle and a pen.

Class max 8 students
