The Sprig and Fern Tavern on Ellis Street Brightwater
Brightwater is a steadily growing village and the Sprig and Fern is at the heart of the settlement on Ellis St. The Tavern is quite narrow which creates 2 distinct areas:
* a relaxed "lounge" at the front with a real fire and armchair seating
* at the rear is a more conventional tavern space with bar stools and tables
Residents of Brightwater find The Sprig and Fern Tavern to be very inclusive. Mums meet for coffee while the kids play around the toy box and later on workmates will drop in for a beer after work. Often you will see clubs and groups holding meetings at the "Sprig" - a real community asset.
A selection of food is available including muffins, BLTs, pies and other savoury treats. If you would prefer you can visit the takeaway next door and enjoy your fish and chips with a drink at the Sprig and Fern.
Regular quizzes are held each week with the proceeds going to charity and live music plays on certain weekends. Check the Sprig and Fern website for details.
