Virginia Watson is guest artist at Nelson Golf Club for the month of March.
On show is a collection of South Island landscapes and also a few of her leggy, beaky shore birds.

Virginia is a regular around the Waimea Estuary between Monaco and Mapua.

She observes the wading birds on the inlet, and goes back to the studio and paints them. It's the same with her stylised South Island landscapes, she rides backcountry places she loves, then paints them.
