What is the Event Planning Directory?

The Event Planning Directory is a one-stop-shop to assist Professional Event and Conference Organisers plan events in the Nelson Tasman region. Whether they are planning a fundraising event or a festival, or a conference for 40 or 400, the Event Planning Directory will introduce them to your business or service.

Who can be in the Directory?

If you are based in Nelson Tasman and provide services to the Events or Conference industry then you are welcome to list in the Directory. Categories include Venues, Musicians & Bands, Entertainment, Hire Services, Professional Services, Food &Beverage and Advertising & Promotion. Each category has a range of sub-categories so that it will be really easy for event organisers to find your business or service. You can list in multiple categories and sub-categories if you provide a range of services. Check out the list of categories and sub-categories here.

How much will it cost me?

This is the brilliant part - it is completely FREE to list in the Directory! The Directory has been funded and developed by the Nelson Regional EDA and Nelson Tasman Tourism on behalf of Nelson City Council and Tasman District Council. By making it easier for people to plan events, the Directory will encourage regional economic growth and development in the conference and events sectors.

What information can I add to my listing?

The Directory includes space for a full description of your business or service, location map and full contact details, plus links to your website and facebook pages. There is also the ability to upload multiple images, brochures, floor plans, price lists, testimonials and other documents to help promote your business.

Where is the Directory hosted?

The Directory is part of www.itson.co.nz which promotes events throughout the Nelson Tasman region. Established in 2009, ItsOn already has great awareness and regular traffic to help the Directory get off to a flying start. The Directory will be officially launched to the NZ Conference Industry on 6 November 2013 at the Conventions and Incentives NZ Annual Conference at the Rutherford Hotel, so make sure you're listed by then!

Why bother?

Although there are lots of directory websites out there, the Event Planning Directory is the only one that specialises in promoting event-related businesses and services in our region. This means that all event-related businesses can be found in one place, making it a great resource for Event and Conference Organisers around the country.

How do I get started?

The Directory has been designed so that you have complete control of your own listing by uploading your own information and photos. This means you can log in and update or change your listing at any time. If you already use ItsOn to list events, just log in with your existing username and password and click +Add a new Directory Listing in the orange toolbar. If you're a new user, click here to create your username and password and get started.
