The Red Door Theatre building was gifted to Nelson Musical Theatre by the Day family of Marsden House. One half of the building was built in the 1920s, the older half was built in the late 1890s and originally relocated from Shelborne St to Nile St - now the Marsden House carpark and from there to its present site. The complex is available for use by community and children’s groups, dance schools, theatre and music groups and corporate hire at affordable fees.
