Tākaka Memorial Library - “Writing Precious Objects” with Dr Stephanie Dale

Thursday 14th March 2024

We all have objects that are important to us that may have no value whatsoever to others.

This workshop will guide you step by step as you write about the precious object you will bring.

Craft a beautiful story that captures the meaning of your object and learn take-away writing skills to inspire you to write about anything at all, that has meaning for you.

It will be facilitated by well-being writing specialist Dr Stephanie Dale. Stephanie specialises in workshops for new and unpublished writers, and people experiencing writers’ block.

This introductory workshop will be followed by a 4-week writing programme called “Write of Passage” for those who would like to keep going as a writing group. This 4-week programme is designed to get people started on a writing project with support and encouragement. There will be a fee for this 4-week course.

This free workshop is for adults, limited to 8 participants. Register at Tākaka Library, or phone 03 525 0059.
