The Rural Resilience Expo is a community event to better inform, educate and encourage self-sufficiency, amongst the Wakefield and wider communities. In the event of a disaster, concentration on main risks like Earthquake, Flooding, and wildfire, which could see the community cut off for a period of time.

The intention is to have several organizations providing information and possibly running 20-minute workshops throughout the day. We aim to make it informative and as practical as possible to get the messaging out.

Interactive displays for both adults and children is to help start those conversations throughout the household and communities. This will be running alongside the parks activities.

There will be food and drink for purchase throughout the day to cater for your hungry mouths.
