Learn how to build and race a slot car.

All participants will learn about: Different types and makes of metal chassis and scalextric type slot cars, chassis building, dismantling and rebuilding a motor, machining a motor commutator, wiring, cutting out and painting a slot car body, soldering, trimming tyres to size, how a slot car hand controller works, and assembling a slot car ready to race.

Three workshops on:
30 June, 21 & 28 July.

Gold coin entry to each workshop.
One off entry fee of $25 for all three workshops if you want to build and keep your own slot car valued at $130.00.

A race event will be organised for those that have built/helped to build a slot car. A Radio Controlled boat awarded to the fastest slot car.
