Nelson Seed Library presents an Introduction to Seed Saving & How to Grow Rice with community rice grower Yuki Fukuda and seed saver Ami Kennedy.

Yuki Fukuda will share her experience of rice growing in Whakatū Nelson. You will learn how to select good seed, prepare seedlings, plant them in pots and grow rice in your backyard.

Ami will share the basics of seed saving from vegetable crops and how you can support community food resilience.
