Your guide to events in Nelson, New Zealand
Saturday 13th July 2024
Join Riverside Education for a 2.5-hour hands-on workshop designed for busy individuals looking to learn the essentials of fruit tree pruning.
Whether you're starting with a young tree or managing a neglected one, this session will guide you through optimizing your next season's fruiting. Che, renowned for his bonsai and landscaping skills, will lead the practical workshop focusing on figs, persimmon, feijoa, and apple trees.
We'll cover key pruning concepts such as tool use and maintenance, training systems, timing, and distinguishing between different types of cuts.
Bring your secateurs, loppers, and pruning saw if you have them, and dress appropriately for the weather.
Please note that this workshop is weather-dependent and will be cancelled (or possibly postponed) if wet.
$35 per participants. Bookings are essential and close Thursday, 11th July at 2pm.
This workshop is proudly sponsored by the Riverside Community Trust. Please contact Tanja (at education@riverside.org.nz) for workshop questions or to ask about sponsorship options
